NEWS FROM AROUND THE WORLD
NANCY OLSEN GIAMBALVO: Nancy's son, Ross, has been busy with soccer and T-Ball and daughter, Marissa is in a string ensemble, Northern Virginia Youth Symphony Association. They have settled into their new surroundings in the Oakton, Virginia area. Near Springfield.
HARRY JOHNSON: Harry is no longer with ZALE corporation and is now President of Bayly Martin & Fay (insurance brokerage). Harry still runs and competes in races when he is not traveling for his company. Daughter, JENNIFER is a freshman and son BEN is in second grade. Wife, BARBARA keeps me up to date on all of them. Harry and family live in Dallas.
KRIS STRAND MEYER: KRIS has started packing up and when school is out she will move to San Antonio with her daughter LAUREN 12 and her son JUSTIN. Her oldest daughter, MELISSA, will stay in California and attend college at C.S.U.S. KRIS also is going through a divorce and we all wish her all the best in her recovery and new beginning.
JOANNA DYAS SMITH: JOANNA and husband, BUTCH and girls MISSY and JODY are settled in Springfield, Virginia, BUTCH is still stationed at the Pentagon. JOANNA is working full time with emotionally disturbed 7th and- 8th graders and going to graduate school in order to get certified to teach social studies in Virginia and eventually get a master's in education. She and her husband golf when they can, between work, school and kids activities -- it doesn't leave much time......
KEN DEVERS: The Devers family - KEN, TRUDY, ANDRA and BRIDGET are in Colorado Springs and have been busy remodeling a few rooms in their home. The family went on a grand tour of Mexico and a side trip to Carlsbad. They got home and found that their freezer had defrosted! Ken said he was going to give skiing another try soon. Be careful Ken.
SUSAN LWINGSTON JOHNSON: Another Colorado family (Golden). Steve still works for COORS. Sue is also working on her master's degree and substitute teaching. Children, AMY 13 and MICHAEL 10 are both well and involved in school activities. Sue spent most of last year involved in a local P.A.C.T. program. Steve continues to run competitively.
ANN DORMAN WEDDLE: ANN is in Ballwin, MO. Husband, RANDY, is still with the Red Cross and travels a lot. ANN works for an insurance agency part time. Keeps her girlish figure in shape by playing racquet ball. ANN says that turning 40 wasn't too bad -But she said she feels like she is standing still and watching her life flash before her eyes. I think a lot of us feel like that. Time is going by real fast. Her daughter MANDY is 15 - soon to be driving (if not already) most of our "collective" kids are getting their licenses this year. LET=S BE CAREFUL OUT THERE. Son TRES is 12 and quite a heartthrob I hear. ANN has given up on answering the phone.
WHIZZY BROOME: The WHIZ is at Ft. Riley Kansas now, where he is the director of The family Life Center. He just finished his officer's advanced course and will begin a 15 months course to receive a masters in Marriage & Family Counseling at Kansas State University. Living "Somewhere over the Rainbow" is quite an experience to the Broome family, he says there is a herd of Buffalo living right in the middle of the post! Whizzy and his wife, ALEXA, are planning on making the next reunion -- She wants to meet us. Right. Daughter's LEAH and MARCI are 18 and 11 now. LEAH will be joining her dad at Kansas State. ALEXA is a nurse at a local hospital. WHIZZY and ALEXA will be celebrating their 20th anniversary this August. CONGRATULATIONS.

GLORIA CAMPBELL GALLAGHER
I am doing GREAT! My job is going very well and I will be there one year in August. The law firm I work for recently merged with another firm and we moved our offices. We are still trying to find ourselves in the 22,000 square feet of office space. We really need "you are here" signs posted. The firm is now the largest Boca based multi-purpose law firm. You need it. We got it. My husband DANNY is still at Sherwood Pontiac in the finance department. My son KELLY finished kindergarten and is looking forward to summer camp and beginning first grade at a brand new school. Danny and I will be celebrating our 10th anniversary in September. (My second 10 years being married.) We are hoping to go on a trip to Washington DC, but nothing is firmed up yet. I will let all of you in that area know, you can be sure of that. MARY and KYLE (18) will start their senior year in the fall and ALLISON (19) is now working as a nanny for a family in Boca Raton. Hope all of you enjoy a great summer and fall and don't forget to write.

Love & kisses,
GLORIA
